The Mirage 2000C was participating in an Air Defence demonstration together with an TB-30 Epsilon which it chased after an QRA take-off. Two Mirage 2000C arrived from Orange in southern France, one with special colours. Sadly, only on Sunday this aircraft flew the demonstration – on Friday for the Rehearsal and on Saturday for the show another aircraft in standard colours took the air. Finally, the special marked aircraft returned with an issue on Sunday after the display and couldn’t leave on Monday – thus the only chances to get photos was on arrival and during the display on Sunday.
The Mirage 2000D could be seen in the air during the demonstrations of the Couteau Delta – flying with two of the fighters. This very impressive display (using one of the three special coloured aircraft on base and a standard coloured one) is always a welcome sight, as it is very rare to have two fighters in the air during a display. Furthermore, the show put up by them is always impressive containing spectacular splits, high speed flypasts and sharp turns.
The latest of the Air Force fighters, the Rafale, displayed with the Rafale Solo Display Demo team. The aircraft designed for this year is based mainly on the colours red and black, thereby creating as well a contrast to the last two years where it was in different blue tones. The aircraft presented by display pilot “Babouc” performed a breath-taking display and as usual finished with the landing from a half cuban eight.
